FCS Bracketology - Pt. 1

Last season's FCS Bracketology done by The Sports Network was a hit, because it was an attempt at predicting the finish line, not what the bracket would be if the playoffs began today.  Today was Craig Haley's first projection of the season. What follows is the link and analysis of Delaware's current projection.

Keeler Knows His QB

Martin Frank is a 76ers/NBA writer for the Delaware News Journal, but he also covers other sports too, including the Blue Hens.  Apparently he was able to get some information out of Coach Keeler at today's press conference and posted the twitter status you see above.  I believe it, and I believe it is going to be Sasek over Donnelly, just due to experience.  However, starting Donnelly if the two are really that close in skill, would be more beneficial because there is little footage of his play while Sasek has a good amount of playing time under his belt in relief of Devlin last year.  Either way, I will promise that it will not be a transfer for the first time in a long time.

Keeler's Presser - at Navy

Coach Keeler's first press conference was pretty straight forward.  With the offensive threat that Navy has, there really is no way to simulate exactly what the defense will face come Saturday.  The other factor in all of this is the "Service" men that Coach mentioned (the practice squad's kinder title).  Some of these players have been fighting for spots in the starting roster and now have to adjust to their new role and get their head right to help out the rest of the team.  Coach also mentioned that the defensive players will be in full pads through Thursday due to all of the cut-blocking.  If the defense looks tired, this could end up being why.

I'll be honest.  Coach has me worrying about seeing a 76 on the scoreboard.  I really hope this is just the "give them no bulletin board material" logic and not "we might have no answer to this guy".  Either way, I'll be in attendance cheering on the Hens! Will you be there too?

Delaware Colors Day

I believe this is pretty self-explanatory.  This Friday, September 2nd, wear your Blue and Gold.  Yes, this is a corporate thing put together by Collegiate Licensing Company so you buy something new to wear on that day just as the semester gets started, but do you ever need an excuse to wear the colors?  No. So when you head to work, wear a Blue & Gold tie, a UD lapel pin, shirt, hat, whatever you already have in your closet.  It's that simple.
